What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are soft synthetic silk lashes attached to each of the patient’s individual eyelashes. This treatment accentuates eyes and most patients do not need to wear mascara after the procedure has been performed.
How long is the procedure?
The treatment takes around 120 minutes. About 30 to 45 lashes are applied to each eye, totaling approximately 60 to 90 lashes in all.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Usually two months if taken care of properly. However, please note that factors such as lifestyle and adherence to post-care instructions will determine how long the extensions will last.
Will eyelash extensions damage my natural eyelashes?
No, this procedure will NOT break or damage your natural eyelashes. The adhesive used to glue silk lashes to your natural eyelashes employs a special polypeptide bond designed not to damage human eyelashes. This adhesive dries soft on lashes, leaving them soft and flexible, just like your own natural eyelashes.
Can eyelash extensions ever be removed once put on?
Absolutely! Eyelashes can be removed easily by an eyelash extension specialist. A patient, however, should never attempt to remove their own eyelash extensions.
